EN 1149 is divided into five parts and formulates the requirements for protective clothing with electrostatic properties. This electrically conductive clothing is earthed, for example by combining it with conductive footwear. This reduces the formation of sparks and thus the risk of explosion.

EN 14605 defines the performance requirements for protective clothing against liquid chemicals. This concerns chemical protective suits with liquid-tight (type 3) or spray-tight (type 4) connections between parts of the garment, including garments that only provide protection to parts of the body.

EN ISO 27065 describes the performance requirements for protective clothing for operators of plant protection products and persons for follow-up work. This includes the minimum performance, classification and labelling of such protective clothing.

EN ISO 14116 describes protective clothing against flames. It specifies the requirements for materials, material combinations and clothing to limit the spread of flame. Properties such as flame spread, burning droplets, afterglow, hole formation and afterburning are tested. The clothing is divided into 3 categories (index) depending on the results.
