In the ASATEX range you will find a good selection of chemical protective gloves of category 3, which meet the requirements of the European Standard 374. This standard describes how well a glove protects the user from chemicals and micro-organisms. Hand protection against chemicals is tested against 18 reference chemicals.

The following table shows the test chemicals and their corresponding code letters. This helps in choosing the appropriate chemical protective glove.

Depending on the test result, the protective gloves are typed differently. Type A is able to protect the wearer from at least 6 test chemicals for at least 30 minutes each. This means that the breakthrough time - also called permeation time - is particularly high. Type B is resistant to at least 3 test chemicals for at least 30 minutes each. And type C can withstand at least one test chemical for at least 10 minutes each.

When making your choice, look out for the letters in the pictogram.

The chemicals for which the respective protective glove is suitable are indicated on the label. Therefore, when choosing your chemical protective gloves, pay attention to the identification letters shown in the pictogram. Are the chemicals shown against which the protective gloves are to protect in the respective work area of your company - for example in the laboratory? Then they are ideally suited for your purposes.
